Our Story

Founded in 1998, MTP began with a simple vision: to provide effective, individualized tutoring that helps students reach their full potential. What started as a small effort has grown into a trusted tutoring provider serving over 7,000 students across 18 schools and agencies. Over the years, we’ve partnered with charter schools, public districts, homeschool networks, and Native American communities, always adapting our programs to meet diverse needs.

Through consistent collaboration with families and schools, we’ve developed a proven tutoring model that delivers measurable results in literacy, math, and beyond. From helping struggling readers surpass grade level to preparing high schoolers for SAT success, we continue to build success stories, one student at a time.

Our Leadership

Anne Wang
(Managing Director)

Anne Wang is the Managing Director and co-owner of My Tutoring Partners (MTP), where she oversees day-to-day operations, tutor management, and partnership development across California. With a background in social work and education program management, Anne brings a unique blend of empathy, structure, and results-oriented leadership to MTP’s mission of empowering the next generation through personalized academic support.

As a mother of three, Anne is deeply committed to helping students thrive. She has extensive experience working with school districts, government agencies, and tribal organizations, and is known for building strong relationships with administrators, educators, and families. Her leadership ensures that MTP delivers high-quality, culturally responsive tutoring that meets students where they are and helps them get where they need to be.

(Student Services Manager)

MTP is supported by an experienced management team, including Student Services Manager Cristina Cristea, who brings over 19 years of expertise in program administration and student engagement, ensuring smooth coordination and meaningful impact across all our tutoring programs

Sasha Hernandez

Sasha has nearly 10 years of tutoring experience, including almost five years with MTP. She loves helping young students experience knowledge for the first time and build confidence in themselves. Her teaching approach emphasizes making learning enjoyable and engaging for young learners. She is passionate about her work and committed to helping students succeed. Sasha specializes in English (Grades PreK-8), Reading, Reading Comprehension, Writing, English Literature, Math (Grades PreK-5), Pre-Algebra, French, Geography, Government, and History.

Brandon
Mena

Brandon has been with My Tutoring Partners for five years and was raised in the Antelope Valley, where he still resides. A UC Santa Barbara graduate with a bachelor’s degree in 2021, he is currently pursuing his master’s degree from SNHU. Known for celebrating every achievement and encouraging consistent practice, he reminds students that expertise comes with time and dedication, often sharing his own academic challenges to inspire them. Brandon specializes in Reading, Reading Comprehension, Writing, English Literature, Math (Grades PreK-8), Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, Test Prep/Study Skills, and working with students on the autism spectrum.

Amelia Sichi Morency

Amelia has taught multiple subjects and tutored for many years, including homeschooling her own children. Passionate about one-on-one learning, she tailors instruction to each student’s needs, style, and personality—empowering them to overcome obstacles and believe in their success. She has a BA in Human Development and Counseling Skills, studies in Speech and Language Pathology, and certifications in TEFSL, PITC, and Communication and Relationship Building Skills. Amelia specializes in English (PreK–12), Reading Comprehension, Writing, Math (PreK–8), Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1–2, Integrated Math 1–3, Geometry, Consumer Math, Science, History, Spanish, Test Prep/Study Skills, SAT/ACT Prep, and working with students on the autism spectrum.
